Improved Mining Software for Windows

Great news for miners who are mining using Windows operating system! The Foundation has published a much more user-friendly and improved mining software for Windows on the official Abelian mining pool page. A tutorial on how to install the new mining software is also available at ABELIAN MINING POOL CLIENT For Windows Installation Guide v1.0.0

Abelian Pro

Since the release on 29th, Febuary — we are seeing a huge number of downloads of the latest and more powerful mobile app, Abelian Pro. Thank you for your support. This new mobile app has the user friendly biometric login. It’s also prepared for supporting the forthcoming hard fork, which is currently set to happen at the block height 280,000, expected to happen at the end of April.

Downloading the Abelian Pro is a must to get access to all new features that will be implemented after the hard fork, such as the Abelian User Protocol (AUT) which allows users to issue their own quantum-safe tokens on the Abelian Network.

Please go to the Abelian official download page now for getting the latest version of Abelian Pro mobile wallet. Alternatively, please check for the latest version directly at Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for “Abelian Pro”

More on the Pseudonymous Wallet Type

The hard fork will enable multi-tier privacy preserving technologies. Besides the existing full privacy tier, after the hard fork, the Abelian network powered by abec nodes will support the pseudonymous tier which allows users to create pseudonymous ABEL wallets.

By using the pseudonymous wallet type, users will be able to trace our transfer transactions and check our wallet balances on the block explorer in a similar way to that for the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks. The Abelian Foundation expects all exchanges which support $ABEL to use pseudonymous wallets in the future and we can provide auditing information of ABEL transactions by referring directly to the information available on the Abelian block explorer.

$ABEL will be able to be transferred between pseudonymous wallets and fully private wallets. After the hard fork, users can create two types of ABEL wallets: one type is a pseudonymous wallet for interacting with exchanges; and the other one is a fully private wallet for HODLing their ABELs as the Digital Gold 2.0. The fully private wallet ensures that their ABELs stored inside the wallet is completely anonymous and untraceable.

Announcement on the Hard Fork

On March 7th, the Abelian Foundation announced that the hard fork is expected to happen in March. However, this was incorrect. With the current hash rate, the hard fork will happen in late April or May.
