While the community is still excited and celebrating about the successful hard fork happened during the last weekend at the block height 300,000, the tech team and community developers have already begun building applications and tools for supporting the new features brought to the Abelian network from the hard fork.
Here are the updates following the Block Height 300,000 hard fork:
1. Abelian Legacy Wallet (CLI)
IMPORTANT : please restore your wallet from re-importing the 24-word mnemonic list after installing the new abewalletlegacy.
Formerly known as “abewallet,” this wallet is now called “abewalletlegacy.” The new version 1.0.0 is available for download here.
What’s New:
- Name Change: “abewallet” is now “abewalletlegacy-v1.0.0.”
Coming soon, there will be a new CLI wallet called abewalletmlp. The new wallet will support two new wallet address types. Please stay tuned for the new wallet announcement.

2. Desktop Wallet Legacy
Another new update from the hard fork at the official download page is a new desktop wallet called Abelian Desktop Wallet (Legacy).
What’s New:
- Name Change: The original Desktop Wallet is now “Desktop Wallet Legacy-v4.1.1”
- New Integration: Works with “abewalletlegacy” version 1.0.0. (The previous version, Abelian Desktop Wallet v4.0.1, runs an old abewallet under the hood.)
- User Recommendation: Existing users should re-import all accounts after installing the new version.
Coming soon, there will be a new desktop wallet called Abelian Desktop Wallet Pro coming up, which will support the new wallet address types and more.
